Today we have the last precise square of Saturn and Uranus. We have been experiencing the energy of their interactions all year long, and the final square will definitely be felt. To sum it up quickly for the sake of this post—because I want to focus on HOW we can shift our reality—this brings radical changes to old worn out ways that no longer serve itʻs purpose. Uranus brings reform and innovation that could set off a revolution to Saturnʻs mundane, traditional and limiting ways of operating. You see it all over the place, we want to take back our power, we want personal sovereignty from these systems that are not working anymore.
If we internalize this mana and bring it to the self, how are you doing things that are not furnishing your reality with what you truly need? What type of breakthrough or insight will awaken the edgy, diversified, NEW YOU that youʻre meant to be?
Today I offer you 5 different way to redesign your ola (life).
1. GET UNCOMFORTABLE
Say yes to something you would usually say no to. Doing things that youʻve never done before unlocks different areas of the brain. New experiences will teach you things that youʻve never learned before because youʻve never done them. Society has conditioned us to find comfort in whatʻs familiar, BORING! Live a little and get out of autopilot mode.
2. CREATE AN ALTAR
Letʻs release any conditioned ideas that you have about altars, thereʻs a reason movies depict them they way they do. An altar is a sacred space for you to alter your consciousness. It can be what ever you want it to be. I have a girl friend who created hers in a closet under her staircase because she never uses it. Itʻs hidden and safe when people come over and easily accessible to her when she wants to utilize the area. I recommend having it in a place that it quiet because you may be meditating, journaling, doing card readings in front of it. Youʻll want to have a flat surface, so even if you donʻt have a table, you can place a thick piece of poster board down, get creative because this will be a reflection of that. Your altar will constantly change, so donʻt worry if when you first set it up, it doesnʻt look perfect. You can build up to what you want by purchasing things here and there. Depending on what you want to use it for, set it up to make that possible for you. I prefer to keep my altar private. I never share it so I actually have two, a mock altar for client readings and my personal one where I do my journaling, personal card readings, and meditations.
Some people like to write their goals out and plan things but what if you layered that with a meditative technique called, Visualization. It costs you nothing, all you need is a quiet space where no one will interrupt you and soothing sounds. You get to decide. I like to listen to a sound bath on YouTube, this is my favorite one. You can search for “sound bath manifestation” to find more, and I always play a 963hz in the background as I work. You can check Spotify for these too. Now that you have your magickal environment set up, you can lay in bed or sit on the ground in front of an alter. I always start off by burning some incense and/or a candle, I just do what feels good. I like to close my eyes, because youʻre using your third maka (eye) to do this, itʻs hard for me when I can see everything around me. Then I do 3 cleansing breaths, inhale through the nose (if you have sinus issues, you can do it through your mouth) and much as I can and I imagine the air coming in as a sparkly white light that goes all the way into my stomach (yes, Iʻm aware itʻs really going into my lungs but something about this helps me to inhale deeper). Then I hold it for 3 seconds and exhale all of it out of my mouth and I imagine it to be a smokey gray color, as if stagnant energy in me is being released. After doing that 3 times, I start my visualization meditation.
You can imagine anything you want, if you need to release anger towards someone, let go of fear, pain, sadness etc. but for this particular one, we are talking about shifting our reality. So you can imagine how you looked, get extremely detailed, how you feel by your facial expression and make sure you feel the same, match that vibration. Then imagine you doing one thing you want to do in the future, this could be in an hour, 2 weeks from now, etc. An again, get as detailed as you possibly can and when you think you added enough, add some more. Itʻs like buying crystals, you can never have too many.
After playing out that situation/project/idea, youʻre going to bring this session to a close. You do not want to just flap your eyelids open and end it there. I always end it by inhaling through my nose and holding it for as long as I can. As I do this, I do something thatʻs called a Root Lock, this helps you to retain the mana (energy) or manafestation you just created.
Essentially you are doing what will feel a lot like a kegel, the goal is to draw up the space between the anus and genitals, itʻs called the perineum, and pull in your lower abdomen towards your spine, so imagine kind of sucking in your piko (bellybutton) to make it kiss your spine. (Something I tell my younger two boys when we do this together and I have to guide them). Then I press my tongue to the roof of my mouth and hold that for as long as I can, as I mentioned earlier. When you can hold your breath any longer, exhale through the mouth fully. Then SLOWLY open your eyes. The time is up to you, the longer and more detailed, THE BETTER.
You hear about this all the time if youʻre part of the spiritual community. The more you focus on being grateful for what you do have, the easier it is to attract the things you want. So I recommend implementing a gratitude practice. Devote a notebook and ACTUALLY WRITE OUT what you are grateful for. It could be ANYTHING, the air, your landlord, gasoline to drive your car to work, your children, yourself, the color red. Hereʻs the part that most people donʻt do, write out WHY. This is a crucial step in gratitude because if you donʻt know WHY you are grateful, then are you actually grateful for it? Stating your way adds more fuel, IMO, so why not take the time to add it. After you complete your sentence, I write thank you 3x after each sentence.
An example of something I might write: I am grateful for my girl friends in my life because they allow me to feel heard and seen and give me the kākoʻo I need to have the confidence to keep on doing what Iʻm doing. Mahalo, mahalo, mahalo.
When youʻre done writing your list, I usually do 3, I read everything I wrote out loud while listening to a song that gets me emotional. I know that sounds weird but when you put emotion and really feeeeeeel it into ANYTHING, this generates so much mana, and thatʻs why e-motion means energy in motion. This is my all time favorite YouTube compilation and there are timestamps in the description box to change it up. The reason I read it outloud is because itʻs a vocal declaration. You can even do this with your goals/intentions, use the same steps, which segues me to our next option.
Instead of writing out the things youʻre grateful for, write out things you want to achieve as if it already happened. The secret to setting intentions is writing it as if it already happened e.g., I am making a six-figure income from my coaching business and I love helping people to achieve their goals.
I do the same thing as #4, I write out 3 intentions while listening to that same YouTube video and when Iʻm done, I read it out loud.
6. BINAURAL BEATS
One of coolest ways to biohack is through utilizing binaural beat therapy. It is considered semi-experimental by professionals but my personal experience with it says otherwise. This shit works. With the understanding that everything is frequency and energy, when youʻre listening to music or sounds, which are frequencies, itʻs intrinsic for things to shift, which in turn changes your personal frequency. If like attracts like and you just biohacked yourself to vibrate at the frequency of 8-14 Hz, youʻll feel relaxed and be more in flow with your environment. If youʻre brain is in a Beta Zone then you might be more focused and stimulated to solve problems because this stimulates cognitive functions.
So what is a Binaural Beat?
Binaural Beats made of different tones that register at a specific Hz, you must listen to them with headphones or earbuds because one ear will hear a different Hz from the other which creates a really cool sound effect that you just have to experience because I have no idea how to explain this with words.
There are five different categories of frequency patterns, Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta and Gamma. Iʻm not going to pretend to be a expert when it comes to this so check out this Healthline article I refer to frequently. Youʻll see and infographic that shows the different brainwave states that I use to decide what state I want to be in before choosing a pattern and this is the app I use on my iPhone to listen to them. If you donʻt want to pay for an app, Spotify has some, I think the app is better but Iʻve listened to Wave Science in the past but they donʻt have Gamma, and Iʻve also used Binaural Beats MT, but it just doesnʻt give me the same effect as the app. Donʻt forget! You need headphones or it wonʻt work.
Blessing, besties. May this bring you the shift you need to live authentically and unapologetically.
